Marlies (1974) was admitted to the bar in 2002 and as per January 2011 she is part of our team. After her graduation at Leiden University (Business Law and Civil Law), Marlies was employed with a prestigious law firm in Leiden. Professionally Marlies is specialized in business law, with emphasis on employment law. In this respect Marlies is involved in redundancy procedures, employment participation issues, illness, non-competition, transfer of business as well as issues around statutory managing directors. If required, Marlies does represent her clients in court proceedings.
In 2008 Marlies successfully completed an in-depth course in business law and in 2011 a so called "post academy course employment law" (PALA) at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Furthermore, Marlies is a member of the VvA (Association for Employment Law) working group "Statutory Managing Directors". Marlies is active in networking and volunteers at various boards.
