Daniël de Vries has been a lawyer since 1999. He joined Valegis Advocaten in January 2015. Prior to that, he worked for 15 years at a medium-sized law firm in Amsterdam.
Daniël advises and litigates in rental and real estate matters. In these areas, he assists among others housing corporations, franchise organisations, care institutions and owner associations (VVE’s). In 2009, he completed the specialist training of the Association of Tenancy Lawyers (VHA) of which he is also a member.
Daniël is also a member of the editorial board of the SDU magazine HIP (Huurrecht In de Praktijk) on rental law. As a lecturer he gives training to housing corporations and municipalities on various real estate and rent related topics. He also provides tailor-made in-company training courses. He also is one of the authors of the book ‘Neighbourhood nuisance, remedies against the troublesome tenant’.
Daniel has been a member of the Vestia Disputes Committee since July 2015. He is a (currently deputy) member of the Complaints Committee of the Almere Care Group.
