In this – English spoken – webinar we will provide you with a short overview of the pension system in The Netherlands and the new pension law.
In the Netherlands, pension is based on a three-pillar system, consisting of a basic provision from the government, a pension that an employer commits to an employee, and facilities that people arrange privately. We focus on the second pillar, the employer pension.
Employers are not obligated to offer a pension scheme unless they are covered by a mandatory pension fund or a collective labor agreement with pension agreements applies to them. If an employer voluntarily offers a pension scheme, they can determine the details of this scheme themselves.
The pension law has changed last year and all pension schemes must be renewed before 2028. In this webinar we will give you a summary of the most important changes. And tell you when action is required.
