Daniël de Vries
Daniël de Vries (1972) has been a lawyer since 1999. In January 2015 Daniël joined Valegis Advocaten. Before joining Valegis Advocaten, Daniël worked at a midsized Dutch law firm in Amsterdam for 15 years.
Daniël primarily advises and litigates in the field of property and commercial lease law. He regularly acts on behalf of housing associations, construction companies, property companies, (institutional) investors and individuals. In addition, Daniël also practices employment law.
Daniël is also member of the SDU editorial team of the rent law publication “Huurrecht in de praktijk” (Rent law in practice) and regularly acts as a teacher. He also regularly gives inhouse training courses and is also co-author of the book “Burenoverlast” (“Neighbours disturbances”, remedies against bothersome tenants). Daniël is also author of the article “the necessity of performance files in cases of ill-performance”.
In 2003 Daniël graduated from the PALA (an in-depth Post Academic course in Employment Law) and in 2009 he completed a specialization course at the VHA (Association for Rent Law). He is a member of several associations, for instance the VAAN (Association for Employment Lawyers), the VHA (Association for Rent Lawyers) and the complaints commission of Zorggroep Almere.
